Meet the family. Like many of his neighbors, Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors in our local parks and neighborhoods with his two best friends.

Meet Kevin

A Neighbor Who Listens. A Leader Who Delivers.

Port St. Lucie has been home to Kevin Zimmerman since 2011. Like so many residents, he chose this city as the place to build a business, put down roots, and invest in a community with a bright future. As Port St. Lucie continues to grow, Kevin believes that progress must be managed with a steady hand and a clear focus on the people who already call this city home.

Results Earned Through Reliability

For nearly 13 years, Kevin owned and operated Star Personal Transportation, one of the area’s most recognized private shuttle services. Building that business required more than just hard work—it required responsibility, clear communication, and a commitment to follow-through. His consistent 5-star ratings weren’t just marketing; they were earned every day through reliability and trust. Kevin believes local government should operate with that same level of accountability to its “customers”—the taxpayers.

Service Beyond the Ballot

Kevin is not a career politician and has no political ties to City Hall. His background is in business and community service. He currently serves as a volunteer Captain with CP-10 and volunteers with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office C.O.P. program. By completing PSL City University and the Citizens Police Academy, Kevin took the time to understand the inner workings of local government before seeking to improve it.

Prioritizing the Resident Perspective

Through his business and volunteer work, Kevin has spoken with hundreds of neighbors across the city. He understands that for leadership to be effective, it must listen first. He is running for City Council to bring a “Common Sense” approach to the city’s most pressing challenges:

  • Smarter Traffic Management: Prioritizing the busiest intersections and synchronizing lights to get residents home faster.
  • Responsible Growth: Ensuring infrastructure like roads and drainage are in place before new projects move forward.
  • Affordability for Families: Holding the line on city spending to protect residents from being squeezed by rising local costs.

Kevin lives in Port St. Lucie with his two dogs and remains an active, visible member of the community. He is running to ensure that as Port St. Lucie moves forward, the needs of its residents always come first.
